Bead Receives Manufacturing Innovation Funds, Upgrades Equipment

Posted by Bead Electronics on Mar 14, 2017 3:49:00 PM

Bead Electronics was awarded another grant from the Manufacturing Innovation Fund Voucher Program, a partnership between the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) and The Connecticut Center for Advance Technology (CCAT).

This is the second grant Bead has received in the last six months.

The first grant went toward the purchase of a new loading dock leveler for the shipping department.

This second round of funding, totaling $25K, will go towards computer equipment and consulting, including a quality audit and training on the new ISO 9001: 2015 standard, which is planned for this fall.

The funds will help Bead achieve measurable improvements to its overall profitability and competitiveness because both improvements relate directly to our customers. By keeping up to date on the latest ISO certification and upgrading our shipping equipment, we can continue to ensure quality and delivery of our custom electronic contact pins, both of which are extremely important to our customers.
