How Will Disruptive Technologies Impact Custom Contact Pins?

Recently, I attended a presentation on Disruptive Technologies given by Martin Huddart of ASSA ABLOY at the New Haven Manufacturers Association (NHMA) Annual Meeting. In a nutshell, if manufacturers don't continuously improve their processes and products, they could be left behind when technology inevitably shifts the landscape.

Bead Electronics Celebrates 100 Years with its Valued Employees

On March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day), Bead celebrated 100 years of continuous operation.   Though many public events are in the works for the coming months, today was a time for Bead employees to gather together to celebrate the company’s centennial year in their Milford/Orange plant.

Finding Toolmakers is Key to Growth of Swaging Business

In a recent article in the Connecticut Post, local manufacturers expressed concern over an aging workforce in a vibrant industry for the state. In response, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy stated it necessary for us to continue to encourage students to pursue careers in manufacturing, reminding them that "entry-level jobs in manufacturing often pay more than entry-level positions for those with a four-year college degree".
